The loggia occupies almost one entire end of the secret garden, which it overlooks with three architrave windows supported by two central columns of Lumachella marble.
Tripartite decoration covers the walls and barrel vault. In the vault and lunettes is an undocumented story about the human lifecycle, from birth to death. Each of the episodes is framed with floral motifs and small stucco figures set within squares or lozenges. The long south wall is tripartite: the side compartments contain small painted scenes in stucco frames (Silenus on his chariot, inspired by a classical marble at the Ducal Palace, and Bacchus and Ariadne); the central part, poorly conserved, shows a procession of sea deities. Above and below it are the devices of mount Olympus and a small wood. Like the vestibule, the floor made of river pebbles is divided into panels and decorated with Gonzaga coats of arms. The device of the Vincenzo Gonzaga (1587-1612) oak tree places its date at the end of the sixteenth century or beginning of the seventeenth.
